luminescent moon rock
hard as the human heart
sharp as the soft touch
reminding you what love was
warm as the thin blood

empty as the chakra
belonging to the monster
hollowed out by drugs and the drama
listen, forever unforgiven
and impossible to feel it
pain is all that I have left

sentences contain, calm seas
washing over me, foaming tides
pulling deeper to the requiem
where I preside, I'm alive
moving forward on the black night
reflecting on the advice
the picture in my mind

Can't come to terms
with the words or the death
unsure of if the words
are for the dead or myself
nothing, only memories
I drink until they're real to me
dimensions in their imagery
surround and imprison me
belittled by its mystery
I'm victim to its mimicry

a rapper wearing cardigans
but music is my oxygen
healing broken promises
